It provides a critical, research and practitioner perspective on the evolution of organisational development and change, informed by current research in the subject area. As the module is evolutionary the themes and issues delivered in the module reflect the latest research and practice within the area of organisational development and change.

This module focuses both on the perceived ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ aspects of the people resourcing function and the content is based around four fundamental questions: How are people resourced into an organisation? How should they be managed effectively and flexibly? How are they retained? How and when should they be released from the organisation?

This module looks at how cultural differences influence behaviour and communication and focuses on developing managers who are effective in cross-cultural environments. The module examines financial management and control, the system which directs and controls the financial effects of budget user’s operations in a way that ensures that they support business success.
