By learning how to analyse, interpret and manage big data and open data, whether in business organisations or in subject-specific specialist domains, you will be able to make management decisions or advise those making decisions supporting the identification of business opportunities and challenges. You will have the opportunity to contextualise big data ecosystems depending on your field of interest or employment and to deploy data science principles, tools and techniques to determine the benefits of applying big data sets in organisational settings.
