What are the entry requirements?

BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (Top-Up):

You will need to be a registered nurse (in any field) and hold a Higher Education Diploma Level Nursing qualification. You will also be accepted if you have studied a certified nursing course leading to the award of Registered Nurse, and/or are an international Registered Nurse who also holds a Licence to Practice.

NMC registration is accepted as proof of English language ability. This course does not lead to NMC registration and is not suitable for Nursing Associates (if you are a Nursing Associate our BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing (Blended) course may be a suitable option.

MSc Nursing Studies:

Applicants must be 19 or above and should have, or be about to complete:

  • NMC registration or equivalent from another country and a UK 2.2 undergraduate honours degree or UK master’s degree in nursing or a health-related discipline (or international equivalent)

OR

  • a third-class or UK ordinary degree with 18 months of relevant work experience.

NMC registration is accepted as proof of English language ability.

This course does not lead to NMC qualification.
